Art in motion
After having worked on all types of surfaces and sizes (wooden or fabric canvases, walls or facades, different pieces of clothing, mobile phones, surfboards, cars, mirrors...), the artist Javier Peña seeks to go one step further later.
Brands such as Porsche Ibérica or Mercedes AMG have been trusting in the talent of Javier Peña for years, but it was BMW Motorrad Spain that proposed the great challenge of painting a motorcycle.
The initial idea was to intervene exclusively on the tank of an R18 through an explosion of color very typical of JP's personal brand and generate very aspirational content. The result was so impressive that the project continued with the different components, as well as a modification of the motorcycle itself (seats, handlebars, indicators,...) until it became a Bobber.
The impact was such that BMW Motorrad continued to support the artist but this time challenging its own limits with an electric motorcycle (CE04).
On this occasion, a paradigm shift can be seen since the colors are not characteristic of his palette and the shapes stop being fluid and become more transgressive and geometric figures . Once again, this art form left no one indifferent.
